Volunteer OpportunitiesVOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Over 200 volunteers augment our small paid staff. Most help to deliver services to the elderly and disabled, and report to our social workers on the clients they assist. Others work in the office with clerical and computer duties, telephone reassurance and our various counseling programs. Professionals donate their services to The Center and to individual clients.
The Center has a continuing need for volunteers to keep up with the many requests for services we receive each day. No experience necessary - we'll train you! Most positions are available on a flexible-time basis.
In the field:- Friendly visiting
- Escort transportation
- Shopping and errands
- Public relations asst.
- Photographer
- Holiday gift delivery
- Handyman
- Furniture pickup and delivery
In the office:- Receptionist
- Saturday telephone reassurance
- Computer data entry (Word, Excel experience helpful)
- Mailings
- Filing
- Fund-raising event assistant
