| 17th ANNUAL DEE HEINRICH VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
LARRY ABRAMOVITZ
Eva Gertzfeld, Larry Abramovitz, Mary Schurder
Larry Abramovitz has been a volunteer at The Center of Concern since 1999.
He is a practicing attorney who donates his time twice a month providing legal advice to clients.
Although his counseling does not include casework, he often does additional follow-up with more complex cases when clients need extra help.
Many of Larry’s clients are overwhelmed and confused when they come to see him, yet his practical down-to-earth approach is clear and concise.
He can explain complicated legal situations in a way that is easy to understand and clients feel confident knowing the best way to proceed.
Larry also serves as The Center’s attorney, reviewing contracts and advising the Board of Directors and staff on issues.
We call on him often for his expertise which is so freely and thoroughly given.
Over the past 11 years, Larry has helped countless individuals with legal advice. He is a valuable asset to not only The Center of Concern, but also to the community. There are few places individuals can turn to for free guidance when a legal situation arises. Larry’s caring ways, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile provide a great benefit to all. His commitment to helping others is evident in all he does.
The Center of Concern is proud to recognize Larry Abramovitz as the 17th Dee Heinrich Volunteer of the Year in recognition of
his dedication in serving our neighbors in need, helping people find answers to their problems and making a significant difference in our community.
